Mass City will get stronger and seriously hit Galways younger players.

                Tier 2- FCUSA, Mass City

                Tier 3- CFC

Tier 4- Galway, Weymouth United F.C.
Anyone that puts NEFC in Tier 1 on the south shore doesn't live on the south shore. They only have 2 teams down here.

Tier 1- SSS, FCUSA, FC Boston
                Tier 2- GPS
                Tier 3- Everyone else

NEFC out of Taunton only has a few boys teams, but plenty of girls teams, some playing Premiership. Like the other big clubs, if you want NPL, you have to drive to "central" locations like Mendon and Marlborough, as that is where the top teams from u13+ are based.

Plenty of teams for boys and girls of most ages between South Shore (Braintree) and South Coast (Taunton). Unfortunately quality of team and roster size is all over the place, so do your research ahead of time. At the ulittle ages, they use a player pool system, which means you may play with weaker players or have a constantly changing roster.

Braintree & taunton are not the south shore.

Hull, Hingham, Cohasset, Scituate, Marshfield, Duxbury.

Your options are Galway & SSS. Want to drive a little and you can expand to NEFC or Mass City in Hanover or FCUSA even further south.

For most parents in these towns that's your limits.

That drive from the "south shore" to the U in Hanover and Kingston is brutal !!!! ( so this explains why Galway still has teams)

Apparently GPS is now in Hanover beginning the 2017/2018 season.

Understanding ECNL and NPL are 1 and 2 in the soccer pecking order, where does a team like Galway or GPS North Shore fall in the overall scheme of things.

They don't. Galway is a glorified town program (on the girls side at least). It isn't comparable to npl or Ecnl. They might be comparable to a low level team at one of the clubs with access to npl/ecnl so if you d is a good player maybe have her go to a different club and work her way to a higher team. No growth at Galway.
