Lots. it's the coaching and talent ID that seems lacking. the passion for the sport - as a primary option - is alive and well.
The problem with south floroda soccer is about to end with MLS coming to miami. Weston and Kendall will no longer be a factor. All the best players will try for MLS. Youth soccer will take off in miami. Now, there are clubs scattered all over town. Driving to weston or Kendall from the beach or miami shores is not worth it. Driving to be a part of a pro squad is exciting.

Yep. You have fun driving and staying in Overtown 4 nights per week.

LOL at the giddy excitement of having your club associated with MLS. Club leadership never explains how a pro affiliation translates into anything of value for the youth program. That's because it doesn't. Here's the reality:
        1. Forget the fantasy that there will be any kind of subsidy. The financial benefits actually flow in the opposite direction. You will pay more
        2. You will be pressured to sell tickets and merchandise as a mandatory requirement

On the plus side, you will get to wear uniforms that match the look of the pro team. Yippee.

If you don't believe me, talk to anybody at Orlando City.
