Why does DA call it U13/14, when there are players who are already 14 when the season starts September 7th?

Those players are U15...as in *under* 15 years of age. They're not under 14

Birth year 1999 players born in January through July 31st are U15 when the season starts on September 7th.

No wonder the DA teams will not play against USYSA teams. They'd have to play in a division as old as their oldest player...which means they'd have to play U15 division and get their butts handed to them.

Who the f**k cares if they would win or lose against U15 teams. While they are paying attention to individual player development you are still fantasizing about who has the best team.

Do you have feelings of inadequacy that it becomes so important for you to prove that your U15 team could beat the U14 DA teams? Go see a shrink or something.

Do you have delusions of grandeur to think that the DA players are getting better development because they pay more, and call themselves development academy?

I could put a team of non-DA 99's together tomorrow that would kick the ass of any of the U13/14 DA teams in Florida.

There you go again. Who can beat who. Fact of matter is as these kids in DA age, they will be seen and recruited by more college coaches than any fysa game.

No odp for any of these young boys? Or is that rule for older DA?

Calendar year is the way that most everyone classifies kids for age groups. FYSA use the August 1 to July 31, but most states and US Soccer, along with everyone else in the world uses calendar year. Who gives a crap if a team of older boys can beat a DA team? Are you going to tell us next that the earth is round. Wow, you're a wealth of earth shattering info!

No ODP, despite the numerous emails asking to register for the pool for the upcoming year. They must be pretty desperate.

The DA actually places them on a bigger stage than ODP, but to answer your question, no they are not allowed to participate in ODP.

A bigger stage at 14? Explain. These young kids would get good games and a great experience in Alabama. And no region play either?

They play much more meaningful games throughout the country. All MLS teams have DA which produce the best in in the country. There are other DA programs that have superb players and teams. Don't make a comparison of the Florida Academies to the USSDA program. Alabama is a week of training and games period. DA is a 10-month season of playing verus quality players.

USYSA Regional Premier Leagues offer the same level of play against other top quality players. The only difference is that they use August 1 birth year instead of January 1.

Does it mean anything that they have the Technical Advisor from US Soccer checking in on the games and practices of these kids regularly? It is a direct path to participation on the US National team program of teams. These kids will play in showcase and national events.
