LOL, BTNT. What does "not belonging" even mean? We're happy....and as far as I can tell we didn't ruin anyone else's lives in the process. In fact, my kid was and is pretty universally appreciated and well-liked by all of his teammates from club to high school to college. Savor that bitter pill for a few moments.

Pump the brakes Mario. Study the course before you speed up, else you'll crash and burn.

All this gnashing of the teeth is all for who? Top level players? Not likely. Top level players chase their soccer dream and aren't worrying about what anyone else is doing. Ultimately the GDA is just a stage that a true top level player will pass through fairly quickly. The real studs will be pushed up into the GDA when they are coming out of grammar school and by the time they get to high school will have stopped getting any challenge from it and will be playing at the semi-pro level beside college players. The GDA is just one rung on the career ladder. It's actually closer to the middle than the top because it's really the entry point where things get truly serious. Most of you need to recognize that any player that stalls on the GDA level for what ever reason isn't destined to go much further up that ladder. It's either up or out. Stud soccer players know this and relish the challenge. They certainly aren't worrying about their high school team or all of the other nonsense being spewed in these types of threads. Kids who want to prioritize their education or anything else over soccer for that matter are not the target audience for this program and the sooner the clubs make a habit of weeding them out the better this program will become.

Which is exactly why this program, and the boys side for that matter, should not be run by clubs which need to make money to exist. There are too many conflicts of interest and this is destined to never reach its full potential and be ripe for a rebranding in 5 years when the results simply aren't there.

LOL, BTNT. You mean most of us DON'T NEED TO RECOGNIZE......The track you endorse is so, so special as you've told us (over and over and over and over x10000000) that the rest of us need not worry about such rarified matters. And yet you still feel the need to tell us (over and over and over) even to the point of infiltrating D3 threads which at least in theory should not interest you for even a second.

You are the only person who appears to be gnashing teeth. Please seek help.

Wondering how long it will take before you realize that you are all being played. You are all so easy.

Why then does a supposed parent of a D3 prospect even care about a thread like this? What is abundantly obvious is that you are more than a little worried that you daughter will be stigmatized by being left on the "B" team because otherwise you would be saying "good for us, more playing time for my daughter in the ECNL." You would think you would be saying "go and good riddance" to all the high level D1 prospect if you weren't gnashing your teeth.

Lol. How many posts like this in this thread? 75% of them? This clown is so worked up that his kid might be labeled correctly for what they undoubtedly are (lacking talent and lacking commitment) that they have to spend untold hours each day trying to defeat the GDA so their kid won't get left behind by it. Beyond pathetic. The sadder part is this type of parent is everywhere in club soccer these days, buying their kids onto teams that they don't really belong and then making demands that the intensity level be dropped to accommodate them. That more than anything is what is dogging the development of high level soccer players in this country. It is the inevitable outcome of our pay to play culture.

Wrong on all counts. You seriously overestimate your ability to determine what is "abundantly clear" whenever and based on whatever you want. Your incredibly bizarre logic is always a giveaway. And your duplicity about threads is unreal. You complain about who posts in these sorts of threads and then there YOU are in every D3 thread. Why the double standard?

Blaming everyone else again, BTNT. No one has expressed any huge problems about the GDA. Some of us just aren't falling all over ourselves about it. We are interested in your defend at all costs approach given your very infamous history of insisting 24/7 that leagues/clubs don't matter.

If your kid isn't talented enough to make one of the teams or isn't interested enough to do the amount of work that being in the DA entails, why are parents like you even engaging in this conversation? You clearly don't want what the program is all about, so why spend so much energy attacking it?
