Bingo and soccer will do nothing for most players after graduation. I will take merit money all day long instead of athletic year to year

People who say that are people who are justifying that their kids weren't good enough to get athletic money. Sour grapes.

Yet another tired Talking Soccer meme. that and "your kid isn't good enough for DA that's why he doesn't do it."

Ya think? In their warped mind anyone who gets a scholarship is just a " stupid jock" and they believe that all jocks are unemployable in all but the most meaningless jobs. Some of these quickly gathered headlines speak to a different reality though.

"Sour grapes" about what exactly? Maybe the same or more dollars with fewer strings attached? Your obsession with the notion that other parents with girls in or approaching college deeply care at that point about their girls' soccer status is nothing more than a window into your pathetic determination to live through your younger girl's athletic accomplishments. That's why you can't help but believe that other parents, like you, are driven by D1 "bragging rights."

You, BTNT, are that foolish parent chasing the brass ring that hardly exists in girls' soccer. You're too damaged to have any recognition of this. Truly sad and embarrassing. I hope there's some compassion for you out there.

The former group may offer quite generous financial aid for demonstrated need--roughly along the lines of what you used to brag was available from ISLs for sought players.

As is public information on this board, your views about college and career in relation to girls' soccer are extremely idiosyncratic. Let's leave it at that so you can resume your ranting in a never-ending effort to rationalize your values and choices. You're obviously very frustrated and resentful about things that go way, way beyond girls' soccer.
Doubt someone like him even gives your financial situation a thought. When you have kids who have the brains and athletic ability like his youngest kid apparently does they don't have to sweat whether the Ivies or places like Northwestern come calling you apparently did. Don't kid yourself, those schools stand in line hoping they get chosen by that sort of kid so if anything all of the work you put into displaying your obvious envy probably makes them chuckle.

Don't know what causes it in you but you whatever you call it, you are the prime example

Too funny. You got it right, someone has to pay the bill. Must really suck to know that you are paying for someone else's free ride.

Calm down, Paul. Your ranting, incoherent replies to yourself are way too transparent. Truly sad and embarrassing.

We are making gradual progress. It's been weeks since BTNT last attempted to deny his losting. Unbelievably sad case. Meanwhile, his Dad is a true wonder, still calling Celt games.

Why 3rd person again, BTNT? And why did you send your kid where she's at the bottom of the admissions pool? Aren't you against that?

Right, all of the elite D3s no doubt would have closed up shop by now without international applicants.

The real Mr. Heinsohn is a stud. One of the true all-time greats among the pantheon of Boston-area athletes. And still works for a living! BTNT? Not so much. Genuinely sad when one appreciates for a moment what he has exposed about himself on this site.
