Hope Solo thinks it would be unfair if she couldn't return to USWNT

    https://www.yahoo.com/sports/news/ho...042711795.html

Gonna be tough to have her return especially after she called USWNT coach Jill Ellis “a poor leader and bad tactician"...would you want her back on your team?

It would be pretty sexist to hold her out. Unacceptable double standard.

Based on what? She was told multiple times to clean up her act and didn't. Her hubby driving the team van drunk put USSF at a tremendous liability risk, on top of all her white trash behavior. She's getting older too. It's time to let some younger blood in the net to get ready for the next big challenges.

Unfortunately Hope Solo isn't in charge and doesn't make selection decisions.....
Like youth soccer brat parents and brat kids who think they are in charge.

If a player has served their suspension, then they should be allowed to compete on an equal footing for a spot on the team. It would be petty and wrong not to allow that.

If the staff feels she hasn't learned her lesson or is too much of a headache they have every right not to ask her back. Creating a team isn't just about skill; it's about how the players operate as a unit. Solo is still out there bad mouthing them and whining about unfair treatment. That isn't going to help her case. Strategically the team needs to start breaking in new keepers any way.

Less has been done to male players for more.

Addition by subtraction. Headache with her is bigger than the headache without.

The players always get hurt in the end. Let her play. We need her.

No we don't. This is a good time break in new keepers before the bigger international competitions start to ramp up. More importantly she's divisive and not well liked on the team. A player that creates more headaches than they are worth isn't going to last.
