Jealous much
This thread sounds like it came from a club that feels threatened by FC Florida and is worried about losing more players to them.
Sometimes kids pay the price for their parents stupidity. I have no doubt the parent was warned and the kid will never forget what the parent did. Clubs should have zero tolerance for this behavior IMO.

So what exactly are you basing your "Bigger question" on, things didn't work out for your little Landon (or more likely yourself) as hoped. Move along, if you don't like the club then don't let the door hit you on the thinking part of your body on the way out. But plenty of us families are delighted with the direction the club is going and the leadership. Like most things in life, you have choices, there are plenty of clubs in the local area where your kid can play and where you'll undoubtedly have plenty to complain about and try outs are right around the corner. Good bye.

This type of parent is NEVER satisfied. He's the type who has an above average player but believes he's the absolute best player anywhere and the trouble occurs when the rest of the people at the club don't rate the player as highly as the parent because the parent is deluded. This is when the meddling and politicking and drama begins because the parent wants opportunities for the player that the player's ability just doesn't merit.
Every club has these types and unfortunately we got a couple of these headaches from other clubs this year. TP during try outs this year if you hear parents constantly complaining about their previous club and how they can't recognize talent, for everyone's sake at FC FL don't take these parents and we'll all be happier.

U13s. Won group- straight to round of 16
U14s. Second in group - went to second round and out
U15s. To the round of 16
U16s Won group and had to play second round and thru to 16
U17s In second round out
Not bad - 60% of teams to get to final 16 in the state

So 100% of FC Florida boys teams made 2nd round and 66.6% made final 16.
So whoever posted that FC Florida is a rec club knows absolutely nothing about soccer.
In regards to the DOC, he has done a great job this year. FC held its first tournament and has had many U18 players signed to D1 soccer colleges. U16s are only team in Palm Beach County that got into final 16 and therefore the only U16 PBC team that will play FSPL next season. Every club has its problems (parents) and unfortunately when one of these problems gets removed from the club, they come on TS and talk garbage.
