After reading the announcement all I saw was a lot of senseless drivel. Some high ups from MLS Next will be on the Technical Advisory Board and USYS will hold GAL as it's "Premier" league. I don't see any actual benefit for the players that they didn't already have available. Is USYS going to have spots for GA teams in it's national tournaments? Is the MLS going to open or fund girls academies like they do the boys?
Looks more like MLS has it's hands in because they caused the demise of the GDA and took flake over it. USYS wants the league because lets face it....It generates a ton of money for whoever handles their carding, coaches training and insurance. Not to mention they just pissed on their own NL by anointing GA the top of the pyramid instead of folding them into USYS NL series.
