No one would attend a Valeo event. They already tried to run a tournamnet and failed.

Raises the level of competition, benefits everyone involved. Of course, indirectly this does helps the club financially in the long run.

We will see more of these small invite only tournaments for the top teams. Count on it.

will the "top" teams play in these sort of invite tourneys for fear of potentially losing their precious rankings ?..and what would the people on this site actually do if these teams that are constantly argued about and we knew who was best because they actually competed head-to-head ?....the horror!

how are they different than friendlies (which make more sense to me)

NJ parent here and told this was an entertaining forum--love the passion! I see a couple of the teams were moved around for upcoming EDP Cup this weekend--is the WUP team playing in the highest bracket bringing guest players for the tournament?

Yes they are bringing players from NEFC Central (highest ranked MA team right now until Valeo's rankings get fixed from the LOU and was the team replaced by WUP in EDP.)

No not worried just inquiring as there was another big tourney in NJ and a team from Long Island basically brought an all star team and beat team from PA in finals and it was not reflective of their real team--never understood why teams do this--unless they are consumed by GS points??

ONLY ones consumed by GS points are the ones that have townie coaches and townie teams to show as reps and apparently use overage players to win tournaments! CB has his own tournament to win, besides his own club. Stop spreading your nonsense and worry about your own inept staff.
