You should stop now. You are both pompous and ignorant by not being able to recognize anything outside of your own 'backyard', and don't have the ability to learn either.

#43 uh? Liberal Arts? Congrats, the soccer program must be outstanding.

It's tryout time. Club bashing is in full swing because clubs are in a tough battle over player market share. Trashing other clubs, even their commitments, is part of the process. Think about what club(s) would benefit the most from GPS bashing and you have your likely poster.

Tryout time? Your son is still "trying out"? Who does that beyond the age of 12? The well known players in the area don't do that. haven't for years. Funny post.

The kid going to BU there isn't even a GPS team listed for him?
I saw 5 Players going d1 from MA both boys and girls.
So with all the GPS teams in MA they could only get 5 players into d1? How many did the DA teams get into d1 or players move on to a higher level of soccer? I'm just asking it could be less. Again good for the players going on to continue soccer in college but in all honesty did they need GPS to get into curry or wentworth Westfield stated?
Could have saved your whatever it cost for GPS play high school soccer and walk on there.

No one, or not many anyway, are equating GPS to DA. But their commitments and those from other non DA clubs show you don't need DA to play in college. It just makes a difference when it comes to level. Not everyone can play high level D1 including many DA players. However for much of college soccer you still need to be a good club player. There's just one persistent TS poster who keeps claiming you don't and it's a waste of money.

It is absolutely correct that for any mediocre or better D3 school, more than 90% of the roster will have played club soccer....the stronger the school....the higher this percentage is. D2 and D3 are more.

As to the question: ["With all their teams is this all...?"]. The same question can be asked about Stars, Bolts, NEFC etc etc etc. Players from the top or top two teams have a shot as being recruited. The percentage falls rapidly after that.

As to the money part of it....well......why should anyone question another on how they want to spend their own money?

Agreed. Lower level clubs can and do get players recruited. It just won't be entire rosters and will be to lower level programs. But what's the harm in that? If players and families are happy with their life choices then there is NONE and it's no one's business but their own. One or two posters keep telling families they will be miserable and half broke if their kids aren't playing in top leagues and aren't top D1 players.

I think the poster is reacting to BS marketing by GPS. That's all.

They get commits and promote it. Every club does. It's part of club marketing 101.

Interesting distribution of players across several teams. I guess we don’t need to spend so much and travel so much.
