I am not debating the cost of the Thorns Academy.

I am here to debate the the $15K cost that someone threw out for ECNL.

You have people throwing out this made up number of $15K. Then when you ask how they got the number they come back and say Thorns is under $6K so that's cheaper.

I am also the parent of an ECNL player and we spent less than $6,000.

The $6K cost is the cost for the player. The parent and family travel is separate. The extra $9K you are spending is for your personal enjoyment and not sure why you would calculate it into the cost of your daughter's soccer.

If you are going to inflate the ECNL cost by adding travel and you want a fair comparison with Thorns then you should also include projected travel cost as well. If you did that then your cost would be well over $15K because the Thorns travel more and it is over 10 months rather than 5 months.
