DA offers won’t come out until after the tryouts (sorry, ‘ID clinics’) are done.

First time to the rodeo Tex? By and large DA and even ECNL and other clubs know who they want and have told current and new players. They may have a few spots open for undiscovered gems but that's it. The tryout process is a joke, even in DA.

And so a lot other ones. But DA is in desperation mode. A lot defections.

They use the tryouts to round off the roster. Their plan is to lock in your top, and see if they can improve the bottom, ideally to challenge the top. In December discussions were already in place about next year and long-term plans.

Because they can only get questionable players now. They work top and down. If they reach to questionable players already, they are in trouble.

There are always questionable offers. Coaches sometimes jump on a kid who seems to have a good pedigree or who looks good in certain situations. Usually the parents who watch more games know which kids are going to be a disappointment but coaches can’t get every kid right every season.

Scorpions made their offers but can't see how they field two teams based on the numbers and talent at the ID event.

Because better players locked in their plans awhile ago. By mid-May players looking for a new home tend to be the ones that don't have one yet for next year.
