    US Soccer and Double Pass

A major step in the right direction for US Soccer. Finally a decision that makes sense.

More preferential treatment towards Academies and Academy players. This won't change a thing until, as the article said, development is incentivized. In short, when you can sell players domestically or abroad. The basis for development everywhere else but the United States.

Pay to play enriches private soccer businesses but compensation for development helps both players and clubs, especially MLS Academies.

Not too sure about that, Brazil has become a soccer player factory. Their greatest export by far. But what has development brought their own country recently on the National stage? The Brazilian player is not as coveted as he once was.

Well, at least they aren't Americans, who suck in this game compared to Brazilians or any other South American Nation..
