The u12 academy will be 2004, but u11 will be 2006. What happened to the '05s?

Best '05s join the '04s in U12 academy. Not so best '05s make up the U12s in NEP/Maple/etc.

Evidently not, on any plain reading of the Statement posted. There's also, in any case, the question of when. Given that club directors still don't seem to know what's going on, there's reasons for various doubts.

Not the OP but most of the major leagues have already announced the adoption for fall of this year. If your club plays in one of those leagues either your club makes the change or lets teams play up. It's that simple. If you aren't happy with your club's communication about the issue then call them

Nothing to do with personal happiness. And "the adoption" evidently not "that simple"--unless everyone should just believe some anonymous poster on TS.

Seems like the effect should take place starting with u11 and follow all ages after x date / not every age group at once - it means all move up and if your player is on the older side - ages out sooner? Is that correct?

Not necessarily. One solution noted in the article above is to just change u18 to u18/19. Part of the naming problem now is having 19 years olds play "u18".
