The two Bolts players to Colgate do they play on the DAP team? Could not find their names on the U18 squad.

Thanks. Very impressive that Bolts can place a showcase team player into D1. Does it say you can play non DAP and high school and play D1?. Notice also a Blazers player that plays high school going to Colgate. Interesting approach by the Colgate coach.

OP here. Last season 14 players made D1 through non DAP means. They were mostly MA club and ISL players. I don't split out Bolts non DAP and DAP so it might be a little more. At least 2/3 are DAP players though.

Agreed, a lot to look forward to going to Colgate. Unfortunately, playing for a great D1 soccer team isn't one of them.

Well, there is that education thing they have going on up there....you know, the reason why most kids attend a school? There's always tradeoffs with the athletics/college process, often times one getting sacrificed a bit for the other. Sure there are exceptions to the rule but I'll take Colgate w/weaker soccer.

Oh, do tell. Why is this an interesting approach by the Colgate coach?

Seems pretty straightforward. MA is an excellent place to shop for lower level D1 talent with a high academic acumen.

I don't know the specific players but if they're not good enough to play DAP, I seriously doubt they'll get on the field at Colgate. The coach is a good guy though, and they'll get a good education. Congratulations to them.
