I give them credit for actually organizing and playing the games. Good for everyone involved.

Owners don't get too bent over this stuff. Reality is that kids that play in the southern branches for CFC (Arsenal) aren't candidates for OW and vice versa. Too far.

Nice that CFC beat OW on the boards though.
Points of clarification - CFC Arsenal 2007 lost to OW 2006 NPL....the score was 7-4.
OW 2007 lost a close game to CFC Arsenal 2007, despite the fact that the three best OW 2007s play up on the OW 2006 DA team and were not there.

Don't forget two OW players were playing up at the prom and another two were at the dentists.

Joke all you want....but the fact is that OW is stronger at 2007, 2006 and 2005 levels. The future is bright.

          Power Ranking (2005, 2006, 2007):

          1. OW
          2. FSA
          3. CFC

Yeah. I'm wearing shades. Word is all those "bright stars" are trying out for FSA after this spring.

They just lost to CFC didn’t they? A branch team no less. When CFC combines in a couple of years, they’ll leave OW in the rear view mirror even further. As usual.

CFC has combined at 2006 already and they lost to FSA this past Fall.....and the 2006 OW team is stronger than FSA 2006. So much for your theory.

CFC United 2006 is winless and last place in the ECNL.....combined team looks great. Keep it up! So who exactly is in the rear view mirror?

You are following in the footsteps of many delusional parents that think they have something special. Oakwood gets kids from Glastonbury, Tolland and Hartford area. CFC draws from the lower 2/3 of the state. It’s a numbers game and it plays out the exact same way every year.

Chat up the u18 parents at OW, they had some special too. Lots of those kids drummed out or no longer play

I am comparing the 2005, 2006, and 2007 teams at the big 3. I never said anything about anyone being special. CFC not attracting kids anymore at the younger ages and it is starting to show in the results.....

Speaking of following in footsteps, add yourself to the list of idiots talking about 12 and 13 year old girl’s scores from a random weekend in January. Who the F cares? What’s next? Are you going to report how they all did in gym class today?

CFC and OW, along with FSA are solid. There are good players and good coaches at all three. Same with bad players and bad coaches. If you focus on getting better individually, and use the structure that each provides, all three can meet or exceed expectations. Team and game comparisons at this age group and in this setting is insane.

What results? For U13? None of it matters until U15+ when teams are solidified and there's minimal movement.

Lather, Rinse, REPEAT.......Can everyone say it together? Its just the way the machine is oiled!

So in your mind results do not matter at U13, U14 and U15......so that leaves U16 and U17 as the only years for comparison (you would probably also say that U18 doesn't matter because those kids are recruited already). Thanks for synthesizing it for us. From now on we can only comment on U16 and U17 ages....happy now?

United isn't united until U14. DA doesn't start until U14. There's still some player movement and kids are still growing until closer to HS/freshman year. Then there's coaching and experience and the hard work (or not) of individual. Compare all you want, just don't expect U13 or U14 results to stay the same through HS.
