Depends on how vulnerable the AD is to the ire of Westport parents. They won a conference title and went long in states. From the administration's standpoint that isn't reason enough to get rid of him.

The parents could try to drive him out; it would be very Westportish of them. Hopefully the AD has a spine. From a performance standpoint there's no justification for it.

1) Undefeated in league play in the last two years.
2) Regular season champions last two years.
3) FCIAC Champions this year.
4) Went to State Final game 2 of the 3 last years.

No coach is getting fired with such a record in HS sports. Sorry.

I will say, that this 2019 team had tons of talent and to not win the elusive State LL title this past season must hurt.

From a performance standpoint that's 100% true, and that's how the administration would view it. But there's been plenty of cases of successful coaches tossed or forced out because a small group of parents want it that way. They don't always succeed but sometimes they do, which just emboldens more bad parent behavior.

OP here - there very well may not be. Hopefully the town is happy with another great season. All I am saying is there have been incidents so it's always possible.

Or Guilford this year. Long term pretty successful coach, with a kid on the team, leaves after winning the conference and as they're going into states. Parents really suck sometimes.
