Here's a different analysis. Rivers needed to score first but did not. Milton goalie played great. Milton scored 3 times and then Rivers emptied their bench. - for some reason the Milton coach had a need to score 3 more goals with his starters.

Haha. Not true at all. Milton subbed off CL, ML, and LV and brought in their young kids after the game was in hand while TD and other key players remained on all game. If rivers can't handle a bunch of young kids at the end of a game then they deserve to lose 6-0.

Game finished with two 9th graders on the field for Milton. Milton definitely wasn't running up the score and all year has subbed early in games which get out of hand. Rivers just seemed shellshocked and gave up in the last part of the game. Clearly wasn't as lopsided as it looks on paper but Rivers did not show a great deal of spirit.

Out if curiosity, what was Milton/Rivers score at the half and the Nobles game at halftime. Also, who scored for each team?

Fact : Milton left 6 kids with yellow pennies on the bench.

Fact: Milton played with 4 key players out and played all but a couple bench players who were healthy in the game. Get over it. Rivers should have come to play instead of whining about what the other team is doing. You want to be playing against the third strong goalie?

Oh how the mighty have fallen. Rivers upset that Milton embarrassed them and is looking for the other team to take it easy on them. That is an interesting response coming from a team that beat St Paul's 6-1, KUA 5-1, Groton 7-1, and Thayer 5-1. Not so sweet when it happens to you, huh?

Agree, this is varsity soccer. Rivers coach emptied bench with 20 minutes left and score 3-0 although it seemed like a few starters were banged up.
Milton dominated the middle of the field most of the game. Milton goalie very solid but many shots were right at him. Give him credit for proper positioning and sure hands during wet conditions Rivers could not finish when they had early chances and seem to have no depth.
