If you have ever listened to 98.5 on the radio you know who the guy is and what his act is. If you "boil it down" his shtick is basically it's him and the fans against the big bad pro teams. When you listen to that show it is incredibly cynical and negative leaving you to believe that every pro franchise is run by money grubbing idiots and anyone who defends them is nothing but a "bobo" which is a Felgerism for a sycophant. It's all an act though. They intentionally insult the audience's loyalties just for ratings. The key thing is it's not real, it's just entertainment.
We have the same thing on Talking-Soccer. Ever notice how there ALWAYS seems to a conflict between good and evil constantly going on. You have the epic Perspective vs BTDT battle, followed closely behind by the nasty Stars vs NEFC or the rest like ODP vs Non ODP, NEP vs MAPLE, D1 vs D3, and on, and on it goes. The "themes" get recycled periodically but the basic message gets regurgitated over and over again. It's all a game though. It is all for ratings (or page views in this case) and these arguments are the biggest "fiction" here on TS. You basically have 1-2 people who have a financial interest in the site (who else would be monitoring it that closely) and few frequent visitors (Perspective, BTDT, Pathfinder etc) who at this point are more like characters from Mr Roger's Neighborhood than real people because the Felger clone actually does all of the talking for them. It's a show though. Just like the Felger and Mazz show, it's not real.
The last day is a perfect example of the fiction, we supposedly had Perspective and BTDT anonymously duking it out in a thread about D3 recruiting and then the next thing you know when that thread starts to peter out we suddenly get a bash thread about the Stars that presumably the evil villain BTDT started so in response this morning we suddenly get a similar thread about NEFC presumably started by Perspective in retaliation. The reality is neither of them started those threads, they were started by the Felger clone to stoke the emotions of those fans bases in order to get them to keep checking the site. It is all fiction.
That is not to say that it is not fun though. It is. The owners of TS do do a good job of entertaining all us. That is why the page views stay relatively constant. They have an audience here. The key take away though is you can't take anything that is written here seriously because it is all contrived to get people worked up and following the show. Its about keeping that audience coming back.
