The only time a legit team loses to a bottom feeder is if there are major injury considerations (e.g., top team loses 2-3 studs or lower-ranked team gets stud players back in time for tournament). If a team with a great record goes down early, with no injury issues, it just means that their regular season was fraudulently built in a terrible league.

The likelihood is that in CMASS D1 we'll see the same final four. The regular season is meaningless when those games kick-off. That's it.

The MIAA tournament seeding is by record, no 'strength of schedule' or any of that other stuff. Lower seed vs higher seed often doesn't indicate the strength of a given team especially in the lower divisions (where the voke schools and charter schools often have very high seeds and little success).

That league is very competitive and the beat on each other for 10 games in the season. Prepares them for districts and the 4 th place team is better than the 1st or 2nd in all the other leagues. If it was a Tantasqua, Hudson, Burncoat, etc then yes that would be surprising of a late seed.

You wanna take that one back, or are you prepared for all the hatred bound to be coming your way? It's comments like this that generate all the disdain for the MidWach A wackjobs. So, you're saying that #4 in MidWach (Leominster?) is better than Franklin, Needham, AB, CentralCatholic, Peabody, Arlington, etc.? BwahHaHaHa.
