I should've signed my prior post -- the guy who started the thread a year or two ago polling visitors to exile one or the other and it was no great surprise that it was Perspective hitting the bricks by a 2 to 1 margin.

It's pretty ironic that Perspective is this elitist liberal who would love to engineer the outcomes on how everyone visiting this site views what they read.

It seems painfully obvious that for all the complaining by way of shining the spotlight incessantly that the unintended consequence is Perspective does a better job of discrediting himself than BTDT could ever hope to promote this so-called agenda.

If Perspective could manage to treat BTDT like a tree falling in the woods, all sorts of good things would happen, whether BTDT began to annoy the **** out of everyone or Perspective stopped annoying the **** out of everyone...or both.

Amusing how Perspective loves to pretend that the Stars don't have well known reputations for many things and how no one can talk about issues simply because that club has strong positions on certain issues.

1) can't talk about high school soccer because the Stars don't want their players involved with it
2) can't talk about ODP because the Stars don't want their players involved with it
3) can't talk about how clubs use social media because the Stars use it extensively
4) can't talk about coaches bullying their players because the Stars coaches aren't exactly warm and fuzzy guys
5) can't talk about college recruiting because the Stars don't do much to help their players with it
6) can't talk about travel and costs because the Stars teams travel the most and spend the most
7) can't talk about league issues because the Stars don't want people to understand where their "B" and "C" teams play
8) can't talk about the ECNL because the Stars are in it
9) can't talk about how much of a scam club soccer is because it conflicts with the Stars primary marketing message
10) can't talk about setting expectations objectively because then the Stars wouldn't have any customers

Instead we CAN talk about BTDT, elite college admissions, D3 soccer, and politics.

The amusing thing about your point of view is how hostile you are to ANY other message that doesn't neatly line up with what the Stars messages are. It is fine for the Stars to use talking-soccer and social media to spread their messages (ie no high school soccer) but if another club tries to spread a different message (NEFC's philosophy on recruiting) then you see it is a direct attack on the Stars and go to great lengths to shout it down. The reality here is this thread is just a DIFFERENT message and the other clubs have every right to spread theirs as the Stars do. Believe it or not the world of youth soccer doesn't start and end with the Stars. The Stars people can do what the heck they want, but they are not the largest club in the state at this point and the way that they do business is not what the majority of club soccer families in this state are apparently looking for other wise they WOULD be the largest. Time for a few of you to get off your high horses and accept that there is information other clubs want to get out to the soccer families in the state and that they have a right to do it. In other words STFU!!
