      Lol haters first to arrive!

As a largo parent planning to leave this changes things. Therr are truly more opportunities with the sousa grip lessened. Guest playing for other tbu teams and potentially out of club for a start

If TBU takes over any club in the Largo-St.Pete area, he other terrible clubs in that area: Largo, Celtic, PCU, Everton and Seminole are in trouble. They think they have bad programs now, wait until the parents know that TBU is in town.

Email was sent to parents/players yesterday evening. Indicated a press release will be added to club sites 'shortly'. Will be effective starting with 2014/15 season.

Lusc policy is no guest playing for other clubs. TBU has a more open policy. Just an example where AS not having 100% say can help.

Don't drink the Kool Aid just yet.

Who's gonna be the DOC? A.S.? Then NOTHING will change, except the name & the jerseys. This is nothing more than a marketing move. I'll tell you parents here at Pinellas that don't transfer clubs to LARGO just yet. Ask the right questions if you are planning to. Like, will Largo now play at CDL or still USA? Will Largo have access to TBU's DA or ECNL??

Coz if its just a name change, it is still going to be a family business.

True. AS will not be DOC, but will have responsibility over west side campus. TBU does not have ECNL, not sure about DA. Currently TBU plays in CDL, FSPL, USA, R3PL, etc depending on the age group and number of teams. If anything this will add depth to TBU team numbers in several ages. We are told that players try out and will be offered slots based on skills and geographic preference (if applicable, especially at older ages)

Celtic, PCU, Seminole and Everton are done, they will become even more irrelevant then they are now.

                            Tiered team format works

TBU will continue with its present team format of Premier, Elite, Select, and Classic level teams for age groups u13 through u19s boys and girls. Premier and Elite level teams will train at all TBU locations. All Select and Classic level teams as well as all U9 – U12 teams will train at their geographical sites North, South and West respectively.

This has worked for the HCU and RSL merge a few years ago. A tiered team format does work, the issue will be for those parents/players that do not want to travel for practice. North to West, West to North, South to West, West to South. The North to South already exist and works.

This is a game changer for Largo, so many people have left because of AS, I would expect a large percentage to come back. TBU West is a huge get for Largo, especially when every other club outside of Strictly in the area is relegated to playing in the USA League.
