The club offers an experience that can be inclusive for the above average town/High school player on their NEP/showcase teams and for the dedicated elite player the DAP teams.
It seems like simple jealousy to criticize the club that offers a variety of options
keeping in mind that nothings perfect

This thread is so tired. Move on folks.
Don't you want to spend time with your families
and be thankful for what you have in your own lives?
Everyone is too worried about everyone else.
        Give it a rest, please!

You are very wrong on this one. Will not name the players for a turd like you to rip into pedophile like, but do some basic research and you will find at least 6. Most going D1.

If you knew the history of the current U18 players you would realize that you are not asking a fair question as the U10 team split to become the 1/3 of the U11 Bolts and 2/3 of the U11 Blazers. This was a big split that Kerr Sr then took over on the Bolts side and rebuilt. Thereafter, with the exception of losing to NEFC (who possessed the man-beast) in the U13 state cup, Kerr Sr had a top notch team. From that point on the team entered the Pre-Academy (prior to start of U14 DAP).

That said, if you want to know how many of the prior U11/U12 players are still on the DAP U18 team.....the answer would be 7. Of those 7, two are Juniors in HS, 1 is undecided as to where he is going to college, and 4 are going to play soccer at division 1 schools. Do you know of other Massachusetts clubs that have a better retainment from U11/U12 to U18, and better college placement regarding level of soccer?

Whether you want to call this development or not is up to you.

The issue that the Bolts have is that they were one of the original clubs in Massachusetts and dominated the scene for years. In fact, only the Blazers showed a similar dominance on the Boys side when they won all but one state title. Since the inception of the DAP and hiring of BA as the DOC, the Bolts DAP and PreAcademy teams have been mediocre, and their youth teams have been below average. Some see this as a fall from grace. For the DAP and PreAcademy teams they are playing in very competitive leagues. However, other than poor administrative decisions, coaching, and lack of training opportunities there is little explanation as to why they have dropped so far on the younger ages. It seems as though they just don't care about the younger teams (or the girls side for that matter). Their emphasis is heavily placed on the DAP teams to a fault. Although there are rumblings that they are 'changing', it seems to be too little, too slow, and too late. Clubs like NEFC, and GPS are claiming to offer the same regional and national exposure and seem to be sprinting well ahead of the Bolts.

The Revs on the other are a professional organization associated with a professional soccer team. While I don't know whether or not one wants to say that development is better, their business model and associations place them in a different category as any other club. And.....did I mention that they were free???

Perhaps the Bolts need a turnover of the BOD to include more parents of non Academy kids?? Otherwise, the BOD seems to be a bunch of hacks.
