Many club coaches coach high school also. If those 8 players are in the district then what does the coach do? There are various clubs in central Florida where coaches players from the club are on the team because that is their high school.

Are you asking this of baseball, LAX, football, etc also?

Osceola High coach makes a player on his high school team a captain , so that player will not leave his club team. Players are starting to leave this team .

The pathetic thing is that AS remains in power at TBU West. Really do not understand why TBU would allow this as it really has had a negative effect on their image. AS sucks at being a DOC, and sucks at being a HS coach. embarrassing really.

It is really funny that the American Heritage HS in Plantation has had the best high school girls team for years. That is because the players can't "club hop" like the do in club soccer. It is amazing how well the South Florida high teams are because of this fact! And yes, the HS coach is a club coach.

Well lets point out the fact that Boca High actively recruits for its soccer team, and when they were rezoned last year into a Broward District instead of West Palm Beach for where they are currently zoned, they protested and protested because they would no longer be the big fish in the bowl.

That's nothing! Palm Beach Central HS coach recruits from Central and South America for soccer season, and when it's over, sends them back. Not only that, but two years back, had players playing that had less than a 1.5 GPA (they got caught for that one)!

Every year, we can't wait for HS soccer season because we have one of the best coaches in Florida! Yes, he does coach on a travel club, but that's neither here nor there! He has vision, teaches the boys discipline, consequences, is fair and consistent, and the boys respect him!

Agreed. But, No Reason for Players to even think about leaving the School the VAST Majority are on a ACADEMIC/ATHLETIC Scholarship.....

I believe that is a violation of ByLaw 9.2.4 under FHSAA handbook.

The same players coach is the same HS coach. A conflict of interest is a set of circumstances that creates a risk that professional judgement or actions regarding a primary interest will be unduly influenced by a secondary interest. GET IT$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Yes, according to FHSAA rules. Either the player cannot play for the HS coach or the HS coach cannot coach the player. Any other stupid questions? You ever hear of Conflict of Interest? Or should we should just change everything for your interest, this is your world.

So only about 6 kids will suffer, no big deal.
