So you acknowledge that she is average. The other post said that the transfers have made a "significant" impact. She has not. There are definitely others that could take her place & bring a little toughness & aggressiveness to the position... And a question... If said player was so good, why would Virginia coach sign off on her transferring to a rival ACC school. Very curious.

Not the OP for that post. But the other player is starting over your daughter, and the Coach probably knows better than you and I who should. IMO this team has had a depth problem the past two seasons and this helps. The defensive side would be my concern and if there are players that add toughness they should somehow get on the field. Unfortunately they also need mids to get the ball to their attacking players,

You have hit a nail on the head about their defense. Foley likes to use her outer fullbacks in the attack so she typically has players in those positions the bring very good attacking skills to the table as opposed to their defending skills. Puts a lot of pressure on the center backs and keeper which they are relatively weak at.

Both those players were not really impacting at their prior schools for one reason or another and yet here at BC they are in the starting lineup. Certainly speaks to the level of depth on the team.

The critical flaw in the BC team is a relative lack of speed down the middle of the field. When you watch the powers in the ACC they are all lightening fast at every position not just on the outside or up top like BC is. That's an athleticism issue which ultimately comes down to recruiting.

Yeah, Pitt dominated play, living in the BC end and pushing their defenders around. BC GK made 9 saves, and was player of the match IMO. Pitt goalie was reading a novel all game, making no saves, although a few HD/MM shots occasionally hit the back of the net or the post. Pitt has 2 good recruiting classes and a young team. If that continues, they will improve, especially if they come across a better finisher. Important win for BC.

ND 2 BC 0 Outshot 21-5. BC can't really play with top tier teams.
