It does not matter at this age.
That said, I have the following:
1. I am not sure it was ever worthwhile doing all that traveling for tournaments prior to the high school years as there was no recruiting at all.
2. You do sound like a woman......not that that is a bad thing, but your post sounds a bit wimpy.
An alternate perspective regarding tournament travel is it's an opportunity to experience high competition and locations with a whole bunch of buddies: for you and your kid in a secure/independent and terrifically fun environment. The kids have a blast and the parents have a blast and the competition is very high level.
Weekend EDP games however at these distances are totally useless and counter productive at this age and need to stop.

Actually, there are other TV games to play other than FIFA. We might even go to a movie. Perhaps out to dinner with the whole family. We might even play with our town team. Regardless, I think it is better than driving 5-7 hours to a remote area of New Jersey to stay in a hotel that is 30-60 minutes away from the fields, just to play in some EDP games. You have to admit, you are chasing points now since many of the squads that you are playing had garnered many points during the early years and have now lost their better players to either their own DAP/PreAcademy teams or to other clubs.
But, good luck. If the kids have a great time then fantastic. It is, after all, all about them.....right? They will, in the future, be talking about their grand successes as 13/14 year olds forever. I think I saw a movie like that with Wesley Snipes and Robert Diniero....."The Fan"

DC is not the coach

CP and SV are coaching the kids.
Yes, each game has been close.
Surprisingly close with the GPS NPL team.
Good competition, good training, good playtime
The kids are getting better.
I doubt they will win the world like so many other clubs are hoping to do.
Actually, in all seriousness, despite the W/L/T record, this appears to be a step in the right direction for the Bolts as their best 2001 are playing U14 DAP....their best 2002 are playing U13 PreAcademy. Bolts non-Academy teams are showing some promise.
God forbid it should be about the training!!!!

perhaps MG would have made DAP but how long would he last on a team where the father is not allowed to coach, where he might not play every minute of every game, and the player would have the recognize the existence of the rest of the team?
