GPS Is Not Stars or NEFC. If you are playing for GPS then you are paying about 3 times too much. Quantity over quality.
How is it any different then NEFC, Stars, Seacoast to name a few? Last time I checked you have to buy your kit from We got Soccer. So save your venom and get a clue a lot of the clubs do it and charge a lot to play.

Because kits were included? I'm sure the price will adjust down to reflect the added expense

So for example how a yearly fee of $2500 all included any different then a than a yearly fee of $2200 +$300 for kit?
So the original poster and other ones copmplaining know they EXACT cost per team at all ofthe major clubs and how each major club handles kits? IF Anyone does LIST IT!
I have been at clubs that collect the whole fee and then amanage the uniform order and distribution and I have been at ones thtahandle it like GPS is this year with a yearly fee and the parent orders the kit seperately.

Same here, although personally I think individual management is better. Most clubs will keep a uniform for two years so 1) some families may or may not need certain items one year to the next 2) gives people the option to forgo the more expensive things like warmup jackets
GPS NPL teams U14 and younger are 3800 dollars.
This includes uniform, training (three per week) including the summer (two per week until August), three tournaments, and a vacation clinic.
The coaching is excellent.
Really not too bad actually and not very different, in the end from other like sized clubs.....+/- 200 dollars.
I would not play this much for other less GPS teams. There is where the scam lies since the training and coaching are significantly less frequent and weaker.

Yes, all that great training certainly shows, especially on the girls side.

How does the GPS scam differ from the nearly identical tiered-model at the other big clubs?

to add another data point our NPL squad is 2900 but no uniform or summer training or clinics. clubs all find ways to make a $$$. it's a business. and in a free market people who don't like will weigh the pros and cons and decide to stay or go.
