UML looked like a D3 program tonight against HC. What's Over/Under on 3 wins this year?

Absolutely. And every Stars player headed to Providence got the "full ride" according to the parents. Too funny.

I would be willing to bet there are several competitive New England D3's that could easily beat UML.

Interesting though which club the local college coaches with kids have them play for. Could it be that all of the fluff being pushed their way by other clubs has given them a sour taste?

UML should have stayed in D2. Don't think they fund the 14 scholarships or terrible recruiting.

UMASS Lowell is a very good university. Well respected for it's engineering, health professions and has done a lot of expansion in the last few years. There sports programs will take some time to improve after the move to division 1 , The hockey program is very strong and on the women's side field hockey has started well. Like in any city school there can be problems with crime.

                  Worcester is no Beverly Hills

Never said that there weren't good academic programs or good sports, but it's not pretty and not in a nice area and probably has an issue attracting players...

That's like saying New Haven is no Beverly hills, and implying that students would choose not to go to Yale because of it. Holy Cross is a top school, and UML is also a top school in the areas in which it focuses.

BC hosts NU to see who is boss in the Boston derby.

Yale and Holy Cross are equal schools academically?

No, New Haven and Worcester are equally dumpy.

The soccer field is pretty good. Does the rest matter?

no--but New haven does not keep students away from Yale, just like Worcester does not keep students away from Holy Cross. Although Yale and UML would be similar.
