ECNL wanted to make NEFC, Top Hat a few others sweat another year but will probably let them in this year. Top Hat parents got desperate enough to start a petition lol. GAL clubs will continue to lose their top players to ECNL. They'll do what it takes to get admitted, even if they have to grovel a bit.

Why not don’t they want good competition? I can see other states like NJ not letting in their GA clubs because those are vastly inferior to PDA but NEFC is quality.

Yes NEFC has that strike against them as well as some old bad blood. But if ECNL lets in any other MA clubs it would be them. There's only a few clubs ECNL wants nationwide.

I believe this to be true as well. Just too close, but New England Conference will prob add a team to make the conference have 10 teams. Who will it be?

Albany Alleycats?
Manhattan SC?
NYSC?
Or move Matchfit in and add another team to North Atlantic Conference?

No way does the Northeast region add 2 teams !! The Northeast and Mid Atlantic would each have to add 1 to get both to 10 teams

Manhattan does not nearly have the player pool for ECNL. NYSC has facilities and infrastructure but theyve spent the past bunch of years saying how ECNL is game oriented and not proper for development and they'd have to walk back on that. Alleycats makes sense in that Upstate/Western MA/CT are underserved but can they field enough good teams to actually compete? Also, who would their "travel partner" be?

GA wont go anywhere. They just announced DPL as the official B league. The league is run by the clubs, who will all want to continue to make money. There's no central body to pull the plug. I think GA will just exist and eventually there will be some movement across the leagues but it won't die, even if it can never really attain the level they had hoped as GDA clubs. Aside from DA, which morphed into MLS/GA, what league has died in the past 5 years?
