Unless I am missing something, has there been any real contraction from outdoor activities? Also, what about the money parents spend and now games are cancelled....again? Every effort should be made to play.
This is freaking terrible, paid big bucks again for another lost season. I guess you can’t blame the clubs as they have to put health first.

No outdoor isn't an issue. Hopefully the pause is only temporary, but the powers that be will wait to see if there's a real post-Thanksgiving surge that was predicted - or not. If numbers stay reasonable there's a better chance of a faster reopening.

Clubs don't have a choice if state or local health departments or governors shut things down.

Agree but they do have a choice in returning peoples $ for no product provided...last year all we got for our $ was zoom calls and training emails....

So why shutdown? Have other clubs? Confusing and frustrating

                Did PDA South cancel too?

They are trying to distance from the main club. Maybe they keep their ECNL schedule like MFA.

                Why would PDA North cancel?

They did not shut down, they are playing friendlies. The teams on their schedules were in states that you can't play right now.

That's a lot of money to pay for scrimmages. At least girls 12-25 at PDA can get some time without the nonsense sub rules.

Believe it or not, most clubs get to over 22 by HS. SOme of whom are also double rostered on the second team. Add in that injuries accumulate (some of which are long term) and you end up bringing 16 kids to games from a 22 player roster. The sheer number of knee injuries when you get to U14+ is staggering and should be even more concerning than it seems to be.

Great $$ making business ..which we as parents feed into...

$3,500ish for the base package then you have the "winter training" and various other costs that balloon that bill to the cost of a car.

And there are sadly too many examples/not just one team/club. PDA carries that many on several teams. Hard to believe when you only get a couple subs a game how some justify being player 14-25 and paying that kind of dough and then not even play is beyond insane.

At 25 they already have 7 who don't even dress for ECNL games and if against another top club the dressed subs won't even play.

17/18 tops is a good number to have with injuries/conflicts etc. Any more than that is just trolling for dollars.
