Here is the root of the confusion. Connell wanted to start a club (FC Tampa Rangers) in Lutz. It's apparently a much easier process to start up as a sister club to an existing club (FC Tampa) than it is to start your own, so technically it is one club. In reality, it has been run as two separate clubs. The stripes worn originally by Rangers are now worn by all as of a little over a year ago. The Lutz version has been much more successful overall than their counterparts in Town n Country. The major obstacle to truly operating as one club seems to have been and be that the TnC group, predominantly Hispanic and very traditional, are reluctant to send players over to Lutz even when the talent/age group makes sense. They have had teams made up of three different age groups. The Lutz group do not do that.
Original logo for FC Tampa is an eagle. The original shield for Rangers had a lion. When the TnC group opted to wear the stripes, the shield was changed to have an eagle to represent both sides of the club.
Though there are efforts being made to strengthen the club by pooling resources, there is still resistance from the old guard.
Bottom line... You can't judge either by merely FC Tampa.

I'm sorry you're disappointed but I have to take issue with your referring to your experience as simply FC Tampa Rangers, an entire club, when you clearly have an issue with one coach. I sit and watch my son's practices and can also see a couple adjacent teams, both genders, and their training sessions are highly organized, technical, and active and the coaches look and sound like they love what they're doing.

Once JR graduates Steinbrenner this year it will just be a money grab.

A fantastic team with no replication at other age groups.
Maybe the best fields in Hillsborough Cty!

Just look at the Disney Qualifier, Only had 3 teams. Don't give us the crap about making it to the Semis. Who cares, this was a qualifier for the big show. Just imagine if they really played the top teams.
