    Miaa Rule for marijuana?

Does anyone know the miaa punishment for student athletes
Caught smoking pot on campus and also in possession
Of enough extra dope in their car to make Snoop Dogg want to go back
To high school? Is it 2 games or 4 games they are supposed to miss?

The MIAA does not get involved.

I love passive aggressive TS threads, because, you know, to Google "MIAA Substance Abuse Policy" (or whatever your best keyword guess is) would be WAY too difficult.

So let's get too it. Where does the OP really want this discussion to go?

Why do you ask? Did another Stanford athlete get off lightly for having that much dope?

Only if it happened after the first tryout or practice day. Anything that prior to that is not part of the MIAA rules.

If you let your kid play in the MIAA, you're the one that must be high!!

                        From the MIAA handbook:

                        62. Student (and Coach) Eligibility: Chemical Health/Alcohol/Drugs/Tobacco
62.1 From the earliest fall practice date, to the conclusion of the academic year or

                          Gold

The "Nope" is correct. offenses are served in the current varsity season, or if not in season then the subsequent one. All controlled substance civil violations treated same

Public school kids are doing hard drugs, not weed.

Yes, there is carryover from offenses that occurred during prior seasons, but the total number of games scheduled to be missed did not occur.

But the way this rule is written any new violations that happen between the end of the school year and the first tryout/practice of the fall season (i.e. summer) are not subject to MIAA rules.
