The Rec program is a frustrating experience to parents at minimum, the Badger you over volunteering and throw the new kids all in one team, then watch the season go out in frustrating game after another.
Dare you ask why did the board did that, "Ohh we have nothing to do with that is the typical answer" until you find out they are lying to your face.
Left the club this year and had my first season at Dunedin, much better organized and fair.

Someone from the TBU West is actually copying and pasting the same comments in a forum with the same title against Celtic. another BOD TROLL I guess, that highlights the integrity issue even more.
At least change the names TROLL!
I can think of a couple on the BOD and a couple of coaches can do this from the TBU West
What a bunch of Trolls.

TBU West is a horrible club from top to bottom, you would be foolish to have your kids involved in their competitive program. Typically TBU West has the worst GYSA teams for rec soccer, they generally are very poorly coached and struggle to score. the competitive teams at TBU West vare poorly trained with on the ball skills. Most of the top players leave TBU West by age 13 due to their parents finally seeing the light about the weak training. thus TBU West is stuck with weaker players that lack basic skills, this explains why the club utilizes the long ball on all of their older teams. To say the club is worse then Dunedin is a pretty rough statement, Dunedin has been a disaster for the past two years.

TBU West is struggling financially, so some of this is out of their control. They pay their trainers one of the lowest yearly wages in the county, so it's hard for them to get top trainers. The best thing that could happen to TBU West is for them to merge, and probably their best merge partner would be PCU, PCU is rolling in the cash with their huge rec program, but PCU struggles on the competitive side. I don't think Strictly would have any interest in TBU West, too many financial issues for a small club like Strictly to deal with. Barring a merger, TBU Westwill continue to regress.

Sounds the same as the years we were there too.
all the good REC players go on one team and most of the new players split between other teams. then you end up with painful games to set and watch, or even expose your child to!
The strange thing is if you ask, they will give you a big fat lie with a straight face.

Trying to decide who is more pathetic. The troll who started this or the very few people who responded thinking its for real. I would choose the responders except that the troll had to follow up with several posts just to keep it alive. It's not hard to troll and if you are are smart at all you wouldn't need to add fake responses so I deduct major points for the numerous follow up posts you had to add to sell it. It's weak trolling at best if you have to spend more than a few minutes.
To anyone that genuinely posted I this thread, you are almost as pathetic as the OP troll. But as dumb as you are, you at least aren't as sad as a grown man who spends so many hours being a troll. So that's something at least.

My bad experience with the TBU West is in their financial un-transparent ways, where and who get's to be paid if the coaches are not?!
They hurt your ears and clutter your e-mail with so many fund raising requests and events, and ask for volunteers so after while dangling the volunteer fees in front of you, dare you ask for your volunteer fees if you actually done the time, that is like asking to pull some kids teeth. Every BOD tells you to ask the other one. Coaches no nothing!
Or ask about the money from raffle fund raiser no one knows who has the raffle tickets, where is the money or who even won the raffle! Pathetic club to say the least.

TBU West's biggest issue continues to be their poor financial condition, period. We can sit here and say the coaching and board are terrible, but it's a mute point, you CANNOT hire top level coaches when you lack the funds to pay these coaches, which is TBU West's dilemma. The vast majority of the coaches at TBU West are volunteers they receive a small stipend, or their kid gets to play for a discounted fee. The coaches that are paid at TBU West receive the smallest wages in the area outside of Oldsmar and Dunedin where the coaches are paid nothing. TBU West will always struggle to bring in top level coaching simply due to the fact they are not a desired club for top talented kids and they lack the funds to bring in top trainers.
