It's that blowhard jerk, the worst parent in Mass. youth soccer history, who also goes by "BTDT." He once feigned cluelessness in referring to himself as "BTNT." Now, any ridiculous string of four letters will do--appropriately so. Clear enough for you, let's hope.

You are the blow hard idiot. What is this thread about? ID programs, right? What is an ID program for? To identify the best and brightest soccer players in the country. In that context if you get labeled as a "role player" you might as well just save your money.

        Exactly. Dude is 100% negativity.

Your arrogance is astonishing. Thankfully, you don't get to decide what other people do. You play so small.

Spend your fortunes living through your children, then when the dream starts to tarnish you can move the goal posts and proclaim yourself a winner. It's an all to typical scenario.

I agree that he or she is incredibly arrogant, but that doesn't mean he's wrong. Role players at the local level (and make no mistake, Mass ODP is still very local) are not going to be suddenly "discovered" and elevated to the NT. Role players have their place, and parents should be honest enough to recognize when they're raising one.

Thanks for sharing your wisdom, as always, BTDT.

BTNT has sunk to new pathetic lows. Just imagining who he is, and where his Dad is, and where his kid is at, and then realizing what he is doing on this board, daily, for years, and STILL, can almost make your mind explode, once you wipe away the tears from how truly sad and truly small he is.

I agree with some of your points. Our son
is developing at a pace that works for
Him and at a fantastic level with excellent coaching
And players. He is very happy and loves it and most importantly
Staying out of trouble and working hard but having fun at this level. Who knows Whats
To come at this point. Too young to know. The scrimmages at ODP do not even
Come close to the team games he has at the premier level.
Let's just say we picked the wrong club and will
Move on to something better. In the meantime we will
Enjoy watching ODP training and the scrimmages.
Ah, the 50's revisited. So now doing ODP is about staying out of trouble?

Honesty and objectivity are not part of the club soccer equation right any longer. If a player hasn't made the regional pool (which is the objective -- it is an ID program) after 2 years the chances of them making it in years 3-6 is slime to none. If a player hasn't made it by then the only purposes participating after those first 2 years serves is to balance the program's books and feed ego's.

That is what happens when the hedonistic soccer parents find programs like ODP. By their very nature ID programs are cruel so anyone who is just hanging around is either too dumb to realize their kid got passed over or they just don't care about anything as long as their square peg gets included. Those parents water the expectations for programs like ODP down so their kids fit and they can brag about their offspring "making" a statewide team but what they end up doing is just flooding the programs with mediocrity and killing them.

Staying out of trouble is all you got out of that post? Another piece of white trash at it's best.

There has to be someone from this forum trying to get a rise out of people for traffic on this sight. There really can't be parents out there that are this sick in the head. Holy *****, may god help you if you really are a parent.

ODP is a joke. But an expensive joke.

Yes, it gets watered down at the state level but if you think the regional level operation is something valuable you would be sadly mistaken. The whole program is a lie. They lie to the mediocre kids because they need them to stay in. They lie to the talented kids telling them that they will be identified for college when most are already at clubs that do the same thing except much better and cheaper.

The program is compromised. It's a great idea but it probably needs a sponsor to actually have any value to elite soccer in the US. Even then, it may very well be redundant.

Ah, back with the 'hedonism' theme, BTDT? So telling when you apply the wrong word over and over. If you want to make your distorted, disparaging, hateful points, the try 'resume hounds' or 'overestimators of their kids' or something in that genre. You seem to take the mere existence of other people as an affront to you. Anything that isn't directly serving you and your kid you trash. You are literally the worst parent in American youth sports.
