Obviously many posters not familiar with Danone Cup, most all the teams have players from several clubs. This is how it has always been never known it to be any different and not sure why all the interest if your kid's not playing in it.

have some class buddy, geesh. Seems like a great tournament and the more transparency you have around all of youth soccer, the better. Leave the cloak and dagger closed room stuff at home.

If it is a fact. Here you go.
Important reminders for this year’s event please read as there have been changes from the last year’s event:
                • Danone Nations Cup is an event to celebrate the team and therefore is limited to existing teams or club all-star teams*
                • All players must be born in 2002 or 2003 no exceptions
                • Maximum Roster size – 12 players
                • Club All-Star or existing teams only
                • No Guest Players – No exceptions
                • No multi-club all-star teams
                • Roster to be frozen on April 15, 2014** (change from 2013)
                • Games at ESPN will be 8v8 (9v9 at the World Championships)
                • Depending on the number of teams who register teams may be required to play Friday night May 23rd.

                call Mark at Disney.
Tell him the clubs and the "proposed" all star teams.
He will notify them and ban them appropriately.
                He has done it before!
                :)

                    also.

*Due to the age group being split by using the January 1st cutoff date we understand that some teams will be a mixture of the two age groups from one club that have children born in 2002 and 2003. All players must be registered to the same club.

So unless Mark can look them up in FYSA and they have points or ranking. It cannot be a new "multi-club all star team" that just formed to go under US CLUB pass

Danone is not a Disney event even though it is held there. If for any reason they try to limit the teams that compete in the international event would be an injustice. The teams over seas do tryouts and are all stars. It is not even conceivable that Danone cup would be this limiting.

                        Why are their rules?

Rules are rules and they have to be enforced.

You are right, they made a multi club all star team, which is against the rules. I am sure these out of state teams are doing the same, with mostly u12 born in 02. I heard the Doral team is entering their u11 team with no guest players. Considering everyone is bending the rules, those U11s might be in for a rude awaking.

Cheating? Lmao. Every player on the OCYS Danone cup team will be registered with the club. It's amazing how can use SuperY to roster players to one club. As a previous poster wrote "always more than one way to skin a cat". Call Mark, have him look as see where all those players are currently registered.

Players gets released from club --> Players get picked up by another club-->Player Eligible to play.

                              Pretty simple really!!

It is shocking to me that Disney would try to limit a team by such rules. Teams over seas are the best of the best and they wonder why the USA can't compete.
