Why doesn't PCU merge with Celtic or Largo, apart all three are really bad clubs, but together they could at least be a semi decent club.

We need to clean house at the top. Get rid of KV, never see him any way unless the Rowdies are out here. JK, another huge waste of time - take the wife too. BE who just repeats what someone else says - take his wife too. DT, another no show but I'm sure we are paying him for his presence. We need a more active leadership. Hate to break it to you all but bounce houses and cold pre-ordered dinners while you watch a semi-pro soccer team isn't how you build a league. Here's an idea, concentrate on the players and not the players parents pocketbooks and the following will return. Been in this league for many years and will not be back next year unless changes are made. Changing our name to Pinellas County United was pretty lame considering we are not even united inhouse. What genius came up with that, JK?

I feel bad for parents in that area, they have to battle traffic and drive 20 miles away to just get decent soccer training for their kids.
If you cared about the area kids, and had all the youth soccer knowledge you try to exclaim then you would just start your own club and do it the right way. But no. Instead, you have accomplished absolutely nothing in youth soccer and instead spend your time trying to bring people who actually give to the game down to your pathetic, Puzzy Azz level. You are a blowhard with zero credibility and zero balls.
If only you put the same effort into you own kid. But evidently your kid just doesn't fulfill you enough. Just don't blame your kid for it. Your parents failed to raise a mature adult so it's not your fault you are doing the same. Very sad.

They are a good Rec program and that is all, but not a place in any way for competitive soccer.
Not sure what part if my post even led you to believe that considering the fact that I didn't moment mention the club at all. (Maybe that inferiority complex?)
Although, I did watch one of their junior teams being forced to play out of the back instead of their keeper just punting it. (Much to their demise by the way.) since you were so defensive about my post I will assume that you are the "they only teach kick and chase guy or his wanna be side kick.)
You just proved yourself to be a hater instead if someone who speaks with actual knowledge of a club. Therefore, you are the weakest link. Goodbye.

I attribute this to greed, clubs like Everton, PCU, Celtic, Largo and Seminole are solely in business to put money in the pockets of a select few, with little regards to the kids and the poor training that they receive at these clubs. Seriously, there should only be 2-3 clubs in this area, way too many clubs that should be upfront with parents about their inability to train kids.

FYSA also needs to do a much better job of advertising to parents of young kids in the area. They easily double the amount of young kids that are exposed to the sport.

The Chargers and WFF do not have the space to take these additional players on and the cost of those two clubs are much more than the three clubs your closing. In St. Pete, they should close Everton, Celtic, PCU and Seminole and just keep Strictly and Largo, the level of soccer would improve dramatically.

There is other undeveloped land in Clearwater also that could be purchased. This is just if they wanted to add a couple of the better players to their teams, but most are already going to the chargers already, it would mainly just make the lower divisions stronger.

West Florida is the only local club that has 2-4 teams at each age group for competitive soccer. If anything, Oldsmar, Dunedin and Tarpon should look to form one common club for competitive teams, they could all keep their rec programs since these are all very vibrant.

Some interesting tidbits of information for you:
Strictly has 8 current or former pros playing in Europe and the Us.
We have had several players play on US national teams.
We have a dedicated goalie trainer with a minimum of 2 nights a week specific goalie traing in all age groups.
Our senior teams train at least 3 nights a week.
Everyone in the club is welcome and encouraged to train every night of the week at no additional charge.
We do offer individual traing just about every night of the week.
Our trainers consist of current and former professionals as well as a current college coach with a professional liscense that are training the players EVERY night.
We play in nationally recognized college showcase tournaments such as Surf Cup,
Castle, Vegas Cup, Denver Cup, Vulcan Cup, etc.etc.
We have defeated the number 1 NATIONALLY ranked teams on 4 different occasions.
There are no boards that are comprised of soccer moms that dictate operations and the future of the club.
We have not merged with anyone ever.
We have not changed our name ever.
We have been run by the same DOC since the inception of the club.
We are centrally located close to the interstate, usually within 20 minutes of just about everyone in central and south pinellas.
We currently have players from Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Polk, Manatee and Sarasota counties.
We are not trying say anything negative about what other clubs have to offer, just trying to describe what we are about.
