If the request for a release or transfer is received no later than December 1st, a club may NOT deny that request UNLESS: that player has guest played during that seasonal year for the team to which he or she wishes to transfer; the coach of the team to which that player wishes to transfer is his or her ODP coach; or money or some other contractual obligation is owed by or on behalf of that player to the club. 2014-2015 FYSA Rule 207.6

Why in the world would the club treat a child or family that way? We want out, just let us go already.
Youth soccer clubs have commitments to all of its members.

Most clubs are non-profit organizations which can't go into debt and remain in operation. If a club has a budget, primarily based on anticipated overhead expenses and the number of players and the fees being paid on behalf of those players, it must collect those fees or it won't be able to pay those overhead expenses.

A club's overhead expenses are not reduced when a player is released. The field maintenance, payroll, referee fees, coaching fees, insurance premiums, electric bills, water bills, telephone bills, etc all remain the same and the uniform and FYSA and league registration fees for players being released have already been paid or incurred. If anything, the team fees for the other players will increase when players are released because tournament registration fees and coach lodging and travel reimbursements will then need to be shared among a fewer number of players.

We want our club to stay in operation and don't wish to receive any end-of-the year assessment because our BOD failed to collect the financial commitments of released players.

Any one who acts like this shouldn't be involved with kids.

I even watch coaches yell and shout at the kids with out the abuse is wrong!
