Club that makes the rule is the ifrst one to break it

Isn't it ironic that the new tryout rule (4/1) was originated by FLR and backed by an FYSA VP to "level the playing field against US Club - but they were the first ones to break the "no email blasts via distribution lists"

The rule is quoted below and below that is the strictly prohibited email - you know the one they fought others from doing:

Member clubs may advertise planned tryouts. The BOD strongly encourages that clubs adhere to the following:

Advertising includes marketing your association, team, camp, tryout, or event through the public media, newspapers, radio outlets, social media, mass mailings, etc.
An e-mail distribution list put together by an individual or association that includes players/families that are registered with another club does not constitute a mass mailing and is prohibited at all times.

DA is not FYSA and doesn't follow FYSA rules.

Thank you for clairying for this idiot who is pointing fingers at a club that is clearly not breaking the rules. You have to know the rules first. Also notice the "strongly encourage" you know what that means? "We can't do anything to stop you" FYSA has no jurisdiction over the bigger clubs who have US Club or DA programs.

Hey thread OP - you might want to learn the differences between the leagues and the fact that DA has nothing to do with any other league. Would have saved yourself the embarrassment. good thing TS is anonymous, but I'm sure you embarrass yourself in other ways all the time.

Man, how many times are we going to go through this with posters not comprehending that the US DA Academies do not fall under FYSA and do not have to adhere to any of their rules. With all these threads you would have thought the ignorant would have figured it out by now. It must be posters who only come on here to attack a particular club . . . thus they have never actually read any other threads that would educated them on the basics of club alignment.
