Keep posting with that level of stupidity and you'll be banned to the Florida or Oregon forums.

She looks prone to put on a couple extra pounds which happens to many girls as they develop. And out the window goes their game because quickness is so vital at a high level.

Plus, according to the "She Believes" thread, she's too white anyway.

Pugh is a minority by ethnic background and height. Thankfully, her father is a coach & they are wealthy enough to have made their way through the elite pathways. Pay to play soccer typically eliminated the smaller players and those without money at the uLittles level.

Does anyone really think She is the future of the WNT? if so I think we are in trouble. Yes, she is a good player, but compared to the better players from the best teams?

Hopefully, USSF is attempting to change that by at least looking for talented players even if they aren't tall/big and/or don't have the financial means for all the top training.

The GDA is pay to play except for a very small number of funded programs.

Yes. She is 18 or 19 and has little trouble attacking some of the best defenses in the world. She has technical skill, creativity and pace. I'm surprised anyone doesn't see how much more effective she was against France than many of the senior players on the team. Dunn and Horan and Lavelle are also solid. They played much better than Mewis, Lloyd, and Press.

Dunn is so much better than Pugh and pugh that much better than Mewis. Pugh will fade away who doesnt have the x factor a world class striker needs though the team certainly needs goal scorer.

Dunn is a true striker, Pugh is more of a play maker.... IMO Pugh's best spot is outside mid, she's creative and has great pace. I think Pugh is one of the top three players on the team and hasn't even played a day in college yet.

Exactly. Dunn belongs playing the 9 spot and Pugh is really a 10. Play Horan at 8 and Lavelle at 6 with Heath at 11. I like Press at 7. The defence should be a traditional 4 in the back with pace on the outside and size in the middle. Enough of this 3:4:1:2 crap. Play a traditional 4:3:3 with the right pieces and the WNT will donjust fine. This isn't rocket science...

Agree with 4-3-3. They lack speed to compete with other top teams.

Lavelle is a great new addition. Pugh is the #10. Mewis is solid. Like Heath.

Might need an Anson Dorrance like approach that was made with the 1999 team. The team needs youth and speed.

pugh is just a newer faster version of the old horses. Yes she is one of the best on the US, but she will soon be too heavy, not being mean, its just physics, the quickness will be gone. maybe she can hang on in the midfield. Dunn is a solid threat, and with others like heath and Mewis it seems they can apply pressure. Our back line is miserable, and completely exposed playing 3 back. to me it seems overall team fitness is lacking and shows as the games go on.
