Seacoast / Kings - Player CUTS

Can the Kings survive without good players? One has to wonder !

Many of the good players are running for the exits (multiple age groups and gender) or they are being shown the exit. (Cutting players mid-season)

Either way this is not a good formula for success.

How long before the Seacoast brass pulls the rug out?

Whose getting cut? And why? Not a big club, which means usually struggle to keep a deep roster.

Kids always club hop, but cuts?

Interesting that you seem to have access to entire organization...TROLL.

A quick look at NEP site shows that their teams seem to be doing quite well, especially on the girls side. A few division championships, finalists, and third place finishes.

Kings players traveling to NH putting on a brave face, but not happy with the commute? Girls travel an hour plus each way to play for Stars and NEFC, but to make that sort of commitment to Seacoast has got to be tough. Have heard people jumping ship, but not of cuts, unless that is on the lower level teams.

In past years I would agree with you however Seacoast girls put on a strong showing this fall. Finished in top 3 in each NPL division. Looks like they're on to something .

Director is the problem. Not good with families in his small club. Lost quality coaches as well because he treated them poorly.

Don't forget a few stars Cup titles and a Bethesda championship for the Seacoast NPL girls.

If you are part of the club, parent or coach, you know the one former mom who is behind this thread and posts. Just move on, let your kids play soccer and enjoy your life. Stop being bitter please.

Impossible to not have a bitter parent at virtually every club. Smaller clubs are more fragile susceptible to it as long as there's no trend nothing to see here move on

The Seacoast NPL teams have definitely improved, especially the 2003s. But I would think that would hurt the girls left behind on the regular Kings teams since the best players have left.

Everyone knows that crazy parents are #1 reason a player leaves mid season.

Definitely a large portion of it. The rest are fairly sane parents who simply realize the club/team isn't a good fit for their kid (up or down) and leave quietly. Sometimes it just doesn't work out and it's better to bail

                          cuts are always painful!!
Former Revolution Academy <DAP> player and best technical player from Newton North HS in the past 10 years was cut during pre-season freshman year at Northeastern after being recruited to play there.

Ugh, how many times are you going to bring this up? You're adding so little to this conversation. Please, let it go and move on.

This is a reality for almost every regional team. The best players eventually either move to the mother ship, or leave to play with a more competitive club (ECNL, DA). You can't blame the players for seeking out a more competitive environment. It also gives the players left behind a chance to step up and take the lead, not being able to rely on their superstar anymore. In the end, it's really best for everyone.
