why? Wouldn't you be happy with things being safe enough for the governing body to give the green light? They wont do it without approval so if the kids are playing that means things are safe enough to do so, i would hope.

So soccer is a summer sport now? Get ready to watch 80% of families walk away.

Disagree with the refund policy but if the
College coach my kid wants to play for is attending then so is she if possible. Maybe some recruiting opportunities can still be salvaged.

If gatherings are safe this summer, I think all manner of cancelled events have a chance to proceed from regular old employment to more special events like weddings to conferences, to proms, to sports competitions.

But very hard to say if it will be safe to gather by the summer.

They do need to refund teams that cannot attend. Bthey won't need to ,rent fields or pay officials for those teams so what do they need the money for?

No dog in this fight, but do you really expect them to post that on the site at this stage?

Baring a total game changer, like a miracle drug, US Soccer thinks families will be comfortable hopping on airplanes in July they are completely insane. Let the Jeff Cup keep everyone’s money. No one will come and the resentment will kill the Jeff Cup going forward.

Will be funny to watch all the players dying from heat stroke in hot, muggy VA in July, just a few weeks after they might be able to start practicing again in their far cooler climates.

                          Hilarious.

If your kid is going to drop dead from playing in July, maybe they should consider a different activity?

Yeah, they should be in great shape in a week or two with huge climate changes for many. Sorry your little cherub stands around and does nothing on the field .... not all players play like that.

ECNL Final 4 National Championships are held in Richmond in July. Somehow all the kids lived, even through the "huge climate changes".

But in your defense all those little cherubs just stand around and do nothing on the field.
