The last laugh will be on CFC, not the 2003 team. CFC will have 5 girls rostered for next years ECNL team, no composite team and no ECNL 2 team. That’s a gaping hole of revenue they will never replace. You see this pandemic enlightened a lot of families about what is important and chasing the college soccer dream isn’t worth it. I’ve spoken to several parents that agree their daughters are great students and will get plenty of academic money without soccer and be a lot happier in college without playing. In the end, soccer is a silly game and most of these so called commits from prior years received no athletic money and will be player 30 on their rosters in college, at poor academic schools that were below their academic standards. The landscape has changed and CFC will be lucky to survive as they made their reputation on college “commits”

They’ll continue to as well, because guess what? College isn’t going to be cheaper so they’ll take a chance that club soccer will help. Their ECNL 2 teams will fill as well. Maybe not bc of the college dream, but bc the kids like to play. Do you think kids will simply stop playing club sports? All clubs are similar in price, so if they’re going to play, they’ll play with the best. I’d agree with you if the smaller clubs charged half the price but they don’t. If anything, the small clubs are the ones likely to fold during this.

Based on this thinking, all intercollegiate athletics are cancelled at every level.
What kind of jerk off takes the time to write this drivel?

To be honest, We are so happy with what CFC has done for our kids. The links and challenges are almost as important as the training. Our daughters miss their teammates, but they are getting so much challenge from their emails and advice. Is any other club stepping up to the challenge (FSA, OW)? We are getting our moneys worth during a trying time for all. Thank you CFC!

because you scared us into paying the fee for next year without any tryouts benchmarks or feedback

It specifically said to speak to your coach to see where you stood before registering. We did that and were satisfied. No one made you pay.
