Thanks to ecnl greed we all suck in sfla

Girls gda Boca and Weston and ecnl prime all suck - thanks to new prime team and dilution of limited talent , what’s going to happen next year? This year is already shot

educate your friends that there should only be one DA/One ECNL.

    Boca
    Miami lakes
    prime
    Weston
    west pines
    sunrise

they need to consolidate to two teams only

South Florida and their 5 million+ plus population should be able to handle 3 high level teams. Atlanta has about 8 high level teams, with a slightly higher population. Your problem is coaching, ego, and greed.

There isn’t enough talent - south Florida ain’t like th rest of the us - lots of Cubans who don’t play or like soccer and lots of South Americans who never allowed their girls out of the kitchen

LA doesn’t seem to have an issue and the Mexicans have a similar view of their females.

Mexicans grew up watching soccer , those kids are Americanized , easy crossover.
Look at the rosters of the gda ecnl teams, only a handful of dade girls, mostly Cubans down there, so you can eliminate most of dade , no real talent there and the little there is , is content playing sfysa.
Don’t compare sfla to Atlanta ever , apples to oranges , we should not have 2 gda and a prime team , we don’t have enough quality.

There is talent. Many girls teams from that area are winning Disney, Weston Cup, etc at younger age groups, so don’t spew that crap. The problem lies when they’re hitting the teenage years. Not sure why, but that’s the truth.

There are enough quality girls to have two GDA programs, but it's been pretty much the same people getting the same results running those GDA programs for years. Those clubs were at the bottom of ECNL and even before that didn't do well nationally in USYS. Weston and SFFC need to do a national search for top level coaching. They have men have been and that are out of touch with girls soccer and the results show. The women they have brought in have also been bad! Do a national search. Post the jobs!

FC Prime is a scam. There should a couple ECNL programs in S. FL, but you are a fool if you send your kids to AH or any coach in that group. They don't care about your kid and you should be at a club where they do.

GDA or ECNL, they are all trying to make money. The travel is crazy. Travel before 14U isn't necessary. The travel and money needed to travel to league games and tournaments turns people off to the sport, not just low income families. It's not just money but time. There is ZERO reason that teams need to travel to a league game to Atlanta, Birmingham or South Carolina before 14U.

I agree with op, in the year 2018 , for a variety of reason , there isn’t enough girls talent for three teams to compete in two national leagues , ecnl should have known that through their extensive scouting, but we all know it’s abou the money

How about getting some cood coaching for these kids who want to play
the consolidation model doesnt work, coaches want to pick from ready made talent and cant develop any talent
the real problem is with the coaching
these kids are willing to play and learn
the d in in da is for development
and a is for academy, as in a place for learning

stop blaming the players and get some talented coaches

No reason to have started another “elite” team to play on a national league this year , none except for the money

I agree about the travel. Really should not do all that travel on the girls side except U15-U17. Not sure why GDA or ECNL has U19 age group anyway. The limited pro options there is are pretty much non-existent for girls at that age. Most playing at that level already figured out their college options. Also having 12 year old travel all over the place to play soccer is really silly. Unfortunately it is the same in other sports.

Very little player development occurring at U9-14 has led to the inability to compete consistently on a national platform. We get our occasional teams where all of the talent has been able to accumulate but with no consistent pipeline of players, we have struggled in the clubwide leagues such as Weston, BU, and Prime. Fix the younger age groups with better quality coaching and we will produce enough players to have competitive teams in all 3 clubs. Weston being the biggest disappointment in that they have so many players at the younger age groups to start with. No excuse why they’re not competing from top to bottom.

I totally agree with you there are a lot of talented girls here,
What we need are knowledgeable talented coaches he who have the experience ,skills and patience to take them to the next level Not coaches looking to skim top players from other clubs to put a team together and blame the "pipeline "when they cant.
