Originally posted by Unregistered View PostIf you read some bios of kids who play college soccer, you quickly realize there are some who just played high school soccer, or non DA/ECNL soccer clubs. This is not hard to do and very easy to verify the person's point. Many schools ID kids at camps.
However, the number of players who only played HS soccer and get recruited by quality D1 schools is probably zero and you will have to post some verifiable facts for anyone to believe you.
If your talking NAIA, JUCO and some D3 schools, then yes; you are correct. That being said, most high level D3 schools are filled with DA men and ECNL girls.

In the panhandle we don’t have DA or ecnl within a 4-6 hour drive and girls sign D1 and we get college coaches who travel just to watch training as well as league games. I’ve had college coaches directly say that they shop talent and don’t believe that DA or ecnl is necessary- at least for some players at the club we are at.
There are players playing ecnl or DA who aren’t that good. They happen to live in a very populated area with the opportunity.

How about you come up with some facts instead of throwing out some vague statement with nothing quantifiable.

Looks like the non-ECNL teams are doing just fine.
