The lease structure made moving the team an impossibility, but the complicit local media played it up to make Krafty Bob the hero. And he was a day away from moving them to Hartford when Finnegan gave in to his extortion tactics and tossed him 65 mil for "infrastructure" of which any taxpayer would love to see the itemized list of what those improvements were besides one bridge and repaving of a state highway.

He's a krafty dealmaker. That's it. If that is a hero to you, hopefully your ideals are shunned by your children.
I have no issues with how Kraft ultimately gained control of the Patriots. None. Sullivans were clowns. And the infrastructure pales in comparison to what every other owner has been given to build stadiums. Kraft is the best owner we have ever seen in these parts. Bar none.

Nobodys questioning what the krafts did for the patriots. It's the Revs stepchild that needs real parentage.

The Krafts are correct to not invest much in the Revs because there is no market for pro soccer in this area. Any thread started here concerning the Revs dies a quick death. And that was even when they were doing well. The fact that we lost Jermaine Jones, Lee Nguyen forgot how to play, and Juan Agudelo has become a non entity has generated zero conversation here or anywhere else in the sports media.

Yes Kraft did a great job with the Pats - whether or not you like his tactics or not you can't deny the results. The Revs are clearly an afterthought yet I think the above is part of it - maybe Boston just isn't a big soccer town and Kraft knows it. One team can't suddenly turn people into real fans of a sport.

That's because this is a youth soccer website, not a pro team forum. If NEFC or FM had an ownership interest, it would be disected on a daily basis. In a correct venue at a proper location, they would do quite well.

His lack of interest, lack of placing Revs paraphanalia in stores, (even in his own it's tough to find) but mainly what his own family plays. He has 4 kids doesn't he?

I've heard they play lacrosse and football.

Plenty of interest in Boston for real soccer.
Needs insightful business owner. Unfortunately for us, Miami and westcoast/Cali are much more amenable. US ripe for picking.

Dumbest argument I have ever heard. The lack of REVS stuff is because no one wants to buy it! Krafts kids are all in their 30-40's, they don't play anything anymore. I think Jonathans kids do play soccer. But who cares?

Does John Henry's dog play baseball? It is a business! The REVS are an afterthought because there are so many other options in Boston and NE. If there was so much interest in Boston for soccer why is everyone bitching that the stadium is too big? The fan base is weak.

Too bad John Henry doesn't own the Revs. He recused Liverpool from the ashes after the former owners ran them into the group and is now renovating Anfield, one of the most storied pitches in all of soccer. And let's not dismiss the sucess of the redsox under his control. I'm pretty sure he never played a sport in his life btw.

The lovefest of Kraft by people like you explains the politicians Mass sends to Washington. Tuna was already the coach when he bought the club and he brought then out out the bowels. But Kraft meddled too much and drove him out. Shall we post the pic of him at the combine with the stopwatch? Then he allowed players to undermine Carroll by running up the back steps to him and Bobby Greer. He got lucky Belicheck wanted out of the NYJ but he only agreed to come once the ground rules were set. Then Brady went from a 6th rounder to a legend. Of course, he let his superstar QB die on the vine when he decided his seat at the big boy table with his Billionare friends and his position as head of the television committee was more important than protecting the legacy of the player who really created the model franchise.

At the end of the day, it was his wife who brought the class and ultimately was the one calling the shots because it was always her money not his. Since she's died he's jumped one shark after another.

This is a huge soccer market here. But the location and facility blows for soccer. Krafty does what's good for himself with a fundamental disregard to the responsibilities that come with being the steward of a pro sports franchise.

Your post reveals that you are an imbecile. The Pats have been the most successful franchise in all of sports under Kraft. Your criticism of him regarding his stewardship of the Patriots reveals that you have your head squarely up your own arse.

He's let the one of the top 5 athletes in this town's history and the most important in his own franchise hang out to dry after yapping that he would fight the NFL. I will never forgive him for that . He showed his true colors.

Robert and Jonathan Kraft are two pieces of sh*t!

And it's due to serendipity! Without TB#12, this organization is an afterthought in the NFL.

Let's not forget the Hernandez pick also... hundreds of red flags ignored.

What moves the Pats make in the next 1-2 years as TB winds down will be very telling.

Silly. Without Bobby Orr where would the early 70's Bruins have been? Your hatred of the Kraft is blinding you..
