Uber maybe, or for those with kids who are the true elites. But many parents aren't that driven - they only care about college - and are conflicted about the HS rule. Now there's choices

This seems bittersweet for NEFC, the club. Breakers has all of the power here, and it will get GDAP, not NEFC. How long is NEFC's contract with the Breakers? We saw how long the Scorpions contract lasted. It seems like NEFC will be at a huge disadvantage the next time they negotiate. This almost looks like a power play to squeeze NEFC, at least on the girls side, out of existence. It is great for the kids though and MA soccer.

But many parents are that driven. Misguided, but still driven.

Doesn't this just give everyone in MA more options?

So clarify, is NEFC now part of ECNL? Seems like some explanation should be posted on NEFC website.

Yes but you do need to field teams. Maybe ECNL could become co-ed and double the talent pool for the teams.

And you need to field competitive teams. If the talent pool is spread too thin it doesn't help anybody.

Yes. With the NEFC/Boston Breakers relationship, NEFC Elite teams for 2016 are Boston Breakers Academy teams. So, for 2016-2017 the NEFC Elite teams will have the opportunity to play ECNL instead of NPL.

Not sure fielding competitive tams is as important as fielding teams. There are many not particularly competitive teams in these high level leagues.

Don't you need another team in MA to support the ECNL travel schedule? I think someone asked this already? I thought teams couldn't enter unless they came as a pair?

They seemed to have tossed that rule - they added two FL teams, but there others were one in Western NY and the other WA state.

The "best" players in NEFC probably will but they will have a choice and now they can go to the ECNL if they want to play high school soccer and pay for all of the travel. This is shaping up to be a huge win for the truly elite players in the region.

When you think about it, this isn't F USSF but rather F USCS and their stinking NPL.

The more high level leagues, the more high level players and best player and elite players. Everyone can be the best!
