He's still young. It's tough over there but hopefully they give him some time to develop. Having the right attitude is important. He'll need it.

If you haven't seen him play he is absolutely the real deal. My son has played against him 4 times and he is levels above everyone on the field. Composure and IQ off the charts. 3 years younger than most kids on field. He has all the tools going forward, just always have to keep getting better.

Thank you! There are intelligent posters here on TS. He was the best player on NYCFC’s u19 Academy team this year, the team who won the national championship. An 03 playing and running the show vs 1999’s.

Yet the haters think it's all about his dad's connections. Sure that brought him more opportunities but the kid grabbed his chances and worked them

Anyone saying it was his dad’s connections doesn’t know what they’re talking about. They are simply identifying that he has connections. If it was about connections would t he have gone to Rangers or Man City? Being in the game doesn’t get you connections at every single club in the world.

It’s scary the percentage of uneducated soccer people that make up the American “soccer community”.

Hmmm I know kids who have played with him for years and more than one says that the favoritism is real at NYCFC. They let him do whatever he wants. He runs that team because he can. Do you think Dortmund will let him play up 4 years? Does he play up for the USMNT? The answer is no. He gets these opportunities because of who he is.

The kid has talent no question but in Germany we will find out where he stacks up real quick.

He played up and more than held his own. The proof is in that

Is Pulisic as a 19 year old playing up at Dortmund and USMNT? How about McKinnie. They are playing with players almost twice their age. In big boy soccer if you are good enough you play. If you aren’t then you don’t.

                Time will tell.

The family doesn't care about the NT. They care about a professional career. As has been said a professional club doesn't just take anyone. But yes he will be challenged like nothing he's ever seen before. It will be very different than being the top dog, living with your family/familiar surroundings vs the challenges he will face in Germany while still being a teenager.

Its not uncommon for 16 or 17 year olds to be playing pro soccer all over the world. Doesnt happen here very often. But is Gio Reyna one in a million? There are no other kids in these United States if given the same opportunities wouldnt succeed?

He is overrated, my kid played against him last year and made him look silly on the field. All about his name

Yes, because UConn even belongs in the same soccer conversation as Dortmund.

                                Bleed blue!
