The team with the one kid with better than average skills wins.Like watching a school of fish with the ball as bait.

Be interesting to revisit this thread in a few years when it counts I guess. Willing to bet the top
Teams stay on top. What do you think? They are going to get worse? Or the bottom teams are going to miraculously improve over the next few years to rise to the top? Sure that could happen but only if they acquire better players along the way.

Genuinely confused by this comment. What would it "count" any more at U13 or U14 than it does at U11?

Top tier- NEFC Central Elite Red & SSS

Second tier- GPS & SOL (Elite)

Third tier- NEFC South Shore, WUP, SOL (Pre-Elite)

Bottom tier- NEFC West, NEFC World Cup, FCUSA

Surprised FC Boston and Stars don't have a team in this division, while NEFC has four.
Aztec 07 is one of the better teams in this age group. This weekend:

                Aztec 8- Galway 0
Galway 2- NEFC South Shore 2

So why isn't Aztec in the top premiership division if they are 8 goals better than NEFC SS?

That was Aztec 06 team, maybe? Was a U11/U12 division.

Oh you ulittle parents are so cute. It doesn't count because by U14 half these kids won't be playing soccer any longer. Once puberty hits and the competition for playing time and the need for hard work and commitment hits full force, the cream rises to the top. By the time your kid hits high school you'll look back and be embarrassed that you cared this much.

                      - 3rd and youngest in HS. Enjoy it while the ride lasts.

Just looking back two years to when my kid was that age. They were a very strong team and all the parents would talk about how great they would be at U13/U14. Now, as U14s, there are only three kids left from that original team. A few players moved up an age group last year due to birth year switch, a couple were pulled up an age group because they were that good, two moved out of state, and two quit in favor of other sports. Chances are something similar will happen to these current U11 teams. With that many players coming and going, who knows what they will look like in a few years. You'll be surprised at how quickly a tight knit team can disperse over just a few years. People leave for all kinds of reasons.

All true but why not have a little fun, even at this age group. If they are keeping standings it's ok to rank em, just doesn't necessarily correlate to future success. No dog in this fight, but see no harm in some banter

Who cares about 2-4 years down the road? No reason the parents at this age can't talk about their kids teams this year.

Haven't seen a single post on this thread about how these U11's will be a super team in four years or how this kid or that kid is destinated for the WNT or a DI scholarship.

FYI the Cranberry Cup website says it was the "Aztec 2007" team.

It's more the concept of ranking a team of kids, most of which have played the game for two years or less, and are more interested in fidget spinners and Dora the Explorer, is ridiculous.
