Shame on JFC and U.S. Youth soccer for letting this happen. Other teams are working hard to prove themselves and earn a place in SRPL and you let the second teams take over the first teams identities and leagues. You haven't been paying attention! most of the big clubs do this. though i don't claim to know all the specifics, i believe if a certain percentage of the girls are returning to that team, then they can claim the credit as theirs. perhaps it is more common with US Club teams that go by the different year age thingy and can then "create" their new roster with younger returning players... This is simple. If Barcelona looses all its players due to x reason, does that mean they are relegated to second division because they don't have the same "quality" level? That's absurd. The spot belongs to the club not the team. If the club wants to use that opportunity to develop new players, that's the club's decision. If they perform, they can attract more players.
