It all depends on the club size. I know that most DOC in South Florida and Tampa make more money than most college coaches. Around 60K a year.

Closer to 60k to 90k especially at bigger clubs like WFF, TBU, Clearwater, OCYS, list goes on.
All about getting paid now. Less about kids now a days.

does not mater what they get paid. They will get paid what the market will bare. If consumers still buy their product/service what they get paid is irrelevant.
The rules are designed to help the pay for play system stay in place.

Average DOC salary in FL is $40k-$50k. Sometimes more. Usually an independent contractor with no benefits, however expenses will be covered.

How to become a DOC?
Follow the steps:
1. Go and play in a small college. Remind people that you almost became pro.
2. Spend a month of your life getting a US A License (Only in America!)
3. Be loud and rude since it shows that you know everything about coaching.
4. Tattoo "FYSA" on your arm.
5. Keep repeating to parents: "your kid has a lot of potential and with the proper training he may develop into a great player. I see him/her playing in college or professional some day"
